Research Interests and Activities


My research topics include data mining and knowledge discovery in databases. My current research interests include similarity searching and efficient indexing techniques for sequence databases, clustering and classification algorithms and analysis of sensor data.

I have been a research member in the following consortiums:
i.  September 2008 - February 2011: "Semantic Sensor Grids for Rapid Application Development for Environmental Management (SemSorGrid4Env), FP7-ICT-223913.

ii. September 2009 - present: "MODAP (Mobility, Data Mining and Privacy)", EU FET-OPEN 2009-2012, The Future and Emerging Technologies Open Scheme.
